Beyond The Street shows new supervisors how to think and act like leaders. Participants master essential management skills, from working effectively with different generations in the workforce and handling conflict to building trust with peers, bosses and other agencies. In this two-day workshop, attendees learn when to be directive, when to coach and when to delegate - and how to earn respect from the EMS field personnel they once worked alongside. Additional strategies include handling complaints effectively and building customer satisfaction.

Faculty have served as medics, supervisors and directors. They are widely read authors and experienced consultants. BTS core faculty include Jay Fitch, PhD and Mike Ragone.
Hotel Information: Beyond the Street will be held at the Chaparral Suites Scottsdale, 5001 N Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ. The hotel is located in the heart of Scottsdale, only minutes from the Fashion Square Mall, Native American and Southwestern curio shops and art galleries. Transportation: Fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Hotel shuttle service is included in your hotel reservation. The shuttle runs 6 am to 10 pm. The operator will tell you where to wait and approximately how long before the driver will arrive.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received priot to December 1, 2011 are subject to a $50 fee. Cancellations received after December 1 and "no shows" are subject to the full registration fee.
